So, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time is put together something useful for our community of photographers – an introduction to the field of action and adventure shooting. Last weekend I got the opportunity to present to a fantastic group of 30 or so keen photographers in central London.
Over the past few years I’ve been on the training courses and I’ve read the books. I’ve attended seminars and I’ve followed the tutorials. But I’ve always felt that something was missing. The techniques were always well explained, the examples always pertinent, but 24 hours after the initial enthusiasm and excitement wore off I was back to square one.
So I wrote this seminar with the following thought in mind:
“This seminar will not make you a better photographer – its what you do afterwards that counts”
Plus some grandiose idea about not giving fish but teaching how to fish and so on. The result? Well, you can check out the materials yourself by downloading the pdf from the link below, but either way I had a great time talking with the people who came along and it got me fired up to shoot some interesting projects….

Next weekend… we are carrying on with the sharing theme as I’ll be heading out into the hills with 6 photographers as we put into practice some of the techniques and approaches covered in the seminar and explore opportunites to improve their portfolio of work.
